    Casa Árabe's Viewpoints

    Casa Árabe organizes the cinema season Euroba in Madrid, from December 2nd to January 27th 2012, with Laila and Nadia Hotait as curators.

    Europe, or Euroba in the Arabic phonetics, is plural, varied, has many pasts and presents and a piece of its closest future hangs on the understanding and assimilation of the migrations that come from Arab or Islamic countries towards its territory.

    The Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) Production Programme broadens the possibilities for the production of art in the MENASA region through a commitment to support innovation and excellence in artistic practice by encouraging risk and experimentation.     Thursday 19th January , Casa Árabe releases the book Report on the Arab Uprisings, a piece of work which analyzes the popular revolts in six Arab countries.

    Exhibitions

    Casa Árabe displays and exhibition in Cordoba presenting the work of five modern Arab artists devoted to the calligraphy and benefiting the international acknowledgement due to the artistic beauty and contents of their innovative creations.

    The days before the Three Wise Men arrive in Madrid, Casa Árabe organizes, from Tuesday 3rd to Thursday 5th January, some recreational activities specially designed for children to get in touch with the Arab World.

    Casa Árabe organizes a season of activities related to the different Arab musics, including a course, a speech, a book release and a concert.

  • Casa Árabe's Tribune

    The visual artist Rogelio López Cuenca and the University of Granada Professor José Miguel Puerta Vílchez will dialogue during the speech on how Al-Andalus has been represented in Spain recent History and how it is being done at present.
